Pattern: Bridal Purse from A Gathering of Lace by Meg Swansen Thread: Mondial Cable 5, 2/3 ball Needle: Susan Bates 2.75 mm straight aluminum needles Modification: I knitted it in one piece and then joined the seams instead of knitting it round by round. In order to make both side edges look alike, I simply joined the two edge stitches on the other side together to make a "fake seam". A crocheted picot edging is added.
In the past two weeks, I travelled around Toronto and looked for yarn shops. Today, I made a new page for providing information on the yarn stores in Toronto.
I used an afternoon to make this little crocheted toy - a gift for my friend Winnie 's 19 year old birthday (together with a scarf). very nice finishing, I am proud of myself = )
Yesterday I went to Naked Sheep, a yarn store besides the Scarborough Beach. That yarn store opened in 2004 but I didn't heard of it until I listened to the latest Knitcast . It's a young and hip kind of yarn store with very nice furnishing. Also, the beach is gorgeous! Below is a few shots I took.
